The Children’s Church at Council Community Church is designed to teach children from pre-school to 6th grade a well-rounded Bible curriculum written for small churches in mind. They explore themes and stories in both the Old and New Testament. We have a team of teachers who work toward providing a memorable and creative time of stories from the Bible, crafts, Scripture memory, singing and games related to the lesson for the day. The children participate in the worship segment of the main church service and then head into their own special time of learning. A nursery is also provided for babies and toddlers with the ability to listen in on the worship service in the sanctuary.
The leaders working in the children’s church love kids and love our Lord. They are teaching the children because they want them to develop a strong faith in Jesus and a clear understanding of the Bible. There is always a need for additional children’s church leaders. If you would like to join them, or if you would like more information about the program, talk to Jan Cheverton. Jan is the head of the Children’s Church and has been an enthusiastic and exciting leader here for more than 20 years.
